This customer in Darwen wanted as many solar panels as possible on his roof to get the most from the feed in tariff.
Overview
The house has a south westerly facing tiled roof (45° from south) to its side elevation. The roof pitch is quite steep at 47°.
The Roof Equipment
In order to fill the roof, we designed an array of fifteen 200W panels (a 3.0kW system). These are arranged in three rows of five, in landscape, which filled the roof area very well.
The Electrical Equipment
An EverSolar TL3200 inverter was selected for this installation. Installed in the loft, the equipment is pictured below:
The meter is situated in the garage next to the consumer unit.
Annual Yield
Total annual yield from system = 2416kWh, worth around £1203 per year.
