Having already seen the benefits of solar power with their solar thermal system, this customer in Settle, North Yorkshire, wanted to take advantage of the generous feed in tariff.
Overview
The house has a south facing slate roof to its side elevation. The pitch of the roof is 27°. There is a solar thermal system on the roof already, and a chimney stack.
The Roof Equipment
An array of twelve CEEG Caymax 200W solar panels was designed to fit around the existing solar collectors.
The Electrical Equipment
An EverSolar 2000GB inverter was selected for this installation. Installed in the loft, the equipment is pictured below:
The generation meter is located next to the consumer unit in the entrance hallway.
Annual Yield
Total annual yield from system = 1941kWh, worth around £967 per year.
