GEO Solo PV universal wireless yield monitor
Our installations are now offered with a GEO Solo PV universal wireless yield monitor. Uniquely, the monitor has a sensor that attaches to the generation meter, so the GEO Solo PV can be used whatever brand or model of inverter is installed. It also allows multiple inverters to be monitored.Using the standard GEO display layout (designed to simulate a car dashboard) the Solo PV comes with a colour, backlit screen. These similarities make the display very intuitive and easy for users to understand. It provides live generation information to the user giving a clear picture of how well their PV array is performing. This information can be shown as money earned via feed in tariffs (FITs), kilowatts generated or the amount of CO2 saved. The display aslo shows generation over the course of the day, yesterday and the last 7-days.
Utilising an LED reader that attaches directly onto the outside of the generation meter, the Solo PV is simple to install. The LED reader then plugs into a transmitter which is pre-paired to communicate wirelessly with the display which can be located wherever required within the home. As the Solo PV works independently of the invertor, it will work with any OFGEM approved generation meter that has an impulse LED.
Inverters aren't calibrated so their monitors give an approximation of the yield generated. As the Solo PV attaches to the generation meter, it is 100% accurate.
Designed specifically for the PV market the Solo PV indicates when the array is producing enough energy to power high load appliances (such as dishwashers and tumble dryers). Ensuring power generated via panels is used efficiently.
MyEnergy for the Solo PV
Included with all Solo PV displays is access to GEO's MyEnergy web portal. Using the supplied SD card, several years of data can be stored and transferred the the graphical web portal allowing comparison of historic data and trends.
