Low Carbon Buildings Programme
Unfortunately the Low Carbon Buildings Programme (the Government funded scheme) is closed. However, other funding may be available in your area. We are aware of the following schemes:
South Ribble Borough Council -
South Ribble Borough Council has been awarded funds from central government to make its residents homes more energy efficient.
The council can provide fixed grants of £2500 towards the cost of a solar photovoltaic system.
The following criteria must be met:
- Loft insulation must be at least 200mm deep
- Cavity walls must be insulated (where applicable
- Claimant must have resided in the property for at least 12 months
- Claimant must not have claimed any grant assistance from South Ribble Borough Council in the three years prior to the date of application (excluding cavity wall and loft insulation grants)
- Must submit three quotations from MCS approved installers
- Must submit two fuel bills for the year with the application

Ribble Valley Borough Council
The Ribble Valley Borough Council scheme allows solar photovoltaic system grants of up to £1,500 to households that pay their Council Tax to Ribble Valley Borough Council. You must be in bands A-F and have full loft and cavity insulation in place. You must also not have a natural gas supply to your property.
