Owners of solar PV systems are increasingly seeking ways to monitor their generation, and there are many products now available to do just that. Some are made by the inverter manufacturers and are only compatible with their inverters, whereas others are universal and can be used with any inverter, or with multiple inverters. Intuition-pv is a new OWL product created to complement and monitor your Solar PV installation. OWL Intuition-pv provides real-time access to your electricity consumption and Solar PV generation data through your web browser, smart phone or tablet.

The Network OWL gateway automatically logs all of your consumption data securely within the Intuition Cloud software platform. You can then login to view your live and historic data, from any Internet connected computer, anywhere! Or if you wish, access OWL Intuition-pv on your smartphone using a dedicated iPhone or Android app - both available for FREE download from summer 2012. Network OWL simply plugs into your existing broadband router and wirelessly links with the Transmitter and Sensor.

Data can be extracted using the included USB lead and can be uploaded to your own web portal.

The GEO Solo PV universal wireless yield monitor has a sensor that attaches to the generation meter, so the GEO Solo PV can be used whatever brand or model of inverter is installed. It also allows multiple inverters to be monitored.

Using the standard GEO display layout (designed to simulate a car dashboard) the Solo PV comes with a colour, backlit screen. These similarities make the display very intuitive and easy for users to understand. It provides live generation information to the user giving a clear picture of how well their PV array is performing. This information can be shown as money earned via feed in tariffs (FITs), kilowatts generated or the amount of CO2 saved. The display aslo shows generation over the course of the day, yesterday and the last 7-days.
